About the role

Beechwood Park School is seeking an IT Support Technician Apprentice to provide system-wide technical support for workstations, laptops, printers, audio-visual, and telecoms. The apprentice will also support the teaching of IT by preparing relevant materials and assisting pupils and teachers in IT suites. Duties include handling frontline queries, maintaining the school's ticketing system, installing and maintaining IT hardware, managing inventory, assisting with network infrastructure expansion, performing routine administration like data backups and health checks, software installation and upgrades, and providing customer-focused technical support and training to staff and pupils. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school environment and develop essential IT support skills.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths & English at 3+ (D or above), and 3 GCSEs in any subject at 4+ (A*-C). Communication skills, IT skills, Organisation skills, Team working.
