About the role
This apprenticeship is ideal for someone with some prior knowledge and experience within a nursery or school setting, and especially someone passionate about childcare and early years, looking to further their career. Duties include providing excellent activities that ensure children learn whilst having fun, supporting children's learning and development, preparing and maintaining the environment and resources, preparing food, supporting children's self-help needs, and being creative and enthusiastic. You will also follow safeguarding rules, undertake First Aid training, and adhere to health and hygiene requirements. Upon completion, you will develop into a Level 3 practitioner with the potential for a permanent position and career progression into roles such as social work, teaching, or management.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Essential skills include communication, organisation, problem-solving, logical thinking, teamwork, creativity, initiative, being non-judgemental, and patience.
