About the role
This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in welding and fabrication, covering MIG and TIG welding techniques, fabrication of various metal components (mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium), and working from engineering drawings. You will learn essential workshop skills including cutting, grinding, drilling, and the use of workshop machinery under supervision. The role also involves sheet metal fabrication, precise measurement, and assisting with bespoke architectural metalwork projects. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a safe and organized working environment and adhering to health and safety procedures. As you develop, you will gain more responsibility and the opportunity to work independently on manufacturing components. Upon completion, you will have a recognised apprenticeship qualification and become a skilled member of the manufacturing team.
