About the role

This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive introduction to the world of precision engineering. As an Apprentice CNC Machinist, you will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of a subcontract machining workshop. This includes preparing raw materials, operating and setting manual and CNC machines, and learning to program them. You will be responsible for adhering to health and safety regulations, standard operating procedures, and maintaining a clean workspace. Key duties involve assisting with tool and workholding setup, interpreting engineering drawings, measuring finished parts to ensure they meet tolerances, and performing daily maintenance checks on machinery. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, have good problem-solving skills, and are keen to learn and develop within a technical environment. Upon completion, there is a clear progression path to a Level 3 Machining Technician Apprenticeship, offering excellent career development opportunities in a well-established engineering company.
