About the role

VEKA PLC is seeking a Level 3 IT Support Apprentice to join their IT Service Delivery team in Lancashire. This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to develop essential IT support skills, with a strong focus on customer service, first-line troubleshooting, device setup, and assisting users with company systems. The apprentice will be the first point of contact for IT support requests, providing both in-person and service desk assistance. Key responsibilities include logging and managing support tickets, troubleshooting a range of hardware and software issues, setting up IT equipment, and escalating complex problems. The role also involves supporting routine IT checks and representing the IT team professionally. The apprenticeship includes day-release training at Burnley College, allowing for a blend of practical workplace learning and formal education. This is an excellent chance to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic IT environment and progress towards potential full-time employment upon successful completion.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English A*-C/9-4. Strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills. Interest in IT, confidence, positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to follow instructions. Understanding of computers and Microsoft Office packages is essential. Must be approachable, friendly, reliable, punctual, patient, and enthusiastic.
