About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to become a Groundworker, a crucial role in the construction and civil engineering industry. As a Groundworker Apprentice, you will be involved from the initial site preparation to the final completion stages of projects. Your duties will include interpreting design specifications, preparing sub-surfaces for structural work, installing drainage systems, concreting, constructing roads and pathways, and carrying out hard landscaping. You will work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other construction trades, operating tools and machinery safely. The role involves attending college on a day or block release basis, participating in apprentice reviews, and adhering to health and safety policies. This position is ideal for individuals who are physically fit, possess good communication and problem-solving skills, and are eager to learn and contribute to a team.
