About the role
CRP is seeking a Multiskilled Engineering Operative Apprentice to join their manufacturing team in Littleborough. This apprenticeship offers a foundational experience in engineering, covering welding, fitting, and machining under the guidance of experienced professionals. The role involves rotating through various practical engineering activities, developing essential skills, and working towards the Engineering Operative Level 2 apprenticeship standard. Duties include learning safe workshop practices, basic welding and fabrication, fitting and assembly techniques, machining principles, reading engineering drawings, using workshop equipment, preparing materials, quality checking, and maintaining a safe working area. The apprenticeship is designed to provide a broad understanding of engineering before specializing in welding at Level 3.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisation, teamwork, initiative, and physical fitness required.
