About the role
Start your career in care with this Level 2 Adult Care Worker apprenticeship at a Care Home in Watford. You will gain hands-on experience providing personal care to the elderly, including washing, dressing, continence care, and mobility assistance. Responsibilities also include assisting with meal preparation, supporting daily routines, administering medication (once trained and assessed), encouraging independence and social connections, completing accurate electronic care records, and reporting any concerns regarding a service user's health, safety, or wellbeing. You will follow safeguarding policies and all care procedures. Upon successful completion, there is potential for a full-time role and progression to a Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Standard.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above are desired. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, customer care skills, teamwork, a non-judgemental attitude, and patience are essential.
