About the role

Embark on a rewarding career in Adult Care with this Level 2 Apprenticeship at a Care Home in Swindon. You will gain invaluable hands-on experience in providing essential personal care to the elderly, supporting their daily living activities, mobility, meals, and hydration. This role also involves administering medication where trained and authorised, encouraging independence, and observing and reporting changes in health and wellbeing. You will maintain accurate care records, adhere to care plans and company policies, and ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control requirements. Excellent communication skills are vital for interacting with service users, families, colleagues, and other professionals. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is potential for a full-time role and progression to a Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship.

Entry requirements

• GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Desired skills include strong communication, attention to detail, customer care, teamwork, being non-judgmental, and patience.
