About the role
Begin your career in Adult Care with this Level 2 Apprenticeship at a Care Home in Swindon. You will gain hands-on experience providing personal care to the elderly, including assisting with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and hydration. You'll also support with medication where trained and authorised, encourage independence, observe and report changes in health and wellbeing, and maintain accurate care records. This role requires you to follow care plans, risk assessments, and company policies while adhering to safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control requirements. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with service users, families, colleagues, and other professionals. Upon completion, you will have the opportunity to progress to a Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship and potentially secure a full-time role.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, attention to detail, customer care, teamwork, non-judgemental attitude, and patience are desired.
