About the role
STAX CONVERTING LIMITED is offering a Lean Manufacturing Apprentice position at their Wigan facility. This apprenticeship focuses on preparing, controlling, and completing manufacturing operations while adhering to lean principles and continuous improvement methods. The apprentice will learn to follow manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and safety policies, including correct PPE usage and waste disposal. Quality checks throughout manufacturing will be a key responsibility, ensuring defects are highlighted and resolved. The role involves contributing to and supporting improvements in the manufacturing operation using lean principles and problem-solving tools. Successful completion may lead to a full-time role.
Entry requirements
- GCSE Maths: 3, Functional Skills English: Level 1, Functional Skills Maths: Level 1. Strong communication, organisational, and time-keeping skills, along with reliability, a willingness to learn, an eye for detail, and a strong work ethic are essential.
