About the role
This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a childcare setting with children aged 0-5, working towards an Advanced Diploma Early Years qualification. The program lasts for 14 months and requires dedication, commitment, and punctuality. Duties include creating a fun and safe environment, teaching within the EYFS framework, supporting children's development and self-care, and communicating effectively with team members and parents. You will also assist in meeting Ofsted requirements and providing challenging activities for children. Essential requirements include GCSE Maths & English at grade C/4 or above, alongside strong communication, IT, and organizational skills. The role emphasizes being a team player, creative, and enthusiastic while adhering to safeguarding rules. This apprenticeship provides a pathway to becoming a Level 3 educator, with potential for a full-time position and progression into roles such as Room Leader or management training. Further development could lead to opportunities in primary education or pediatric nursing. The nursery is located in South Woodford and offers comprehensive childcare services from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, excluding holidays. An initial 8 weeks will involve one day per week of online training with a tutor, requiring a laptop or PC for classroom-based learning. The rest of the time will be spent in the nursery with dedicated support from an assessor and staff.
