Early Years Educator Apprentice

About the role

The Early Years Educator Apprentice will support the creation of a safe, happy, and stimulating learning environment for young children. This role involves engaging with children through play and social interactions, following the curriculum, and participating in daily activities such as reading stories, singing songs, and messy play. The apprentice will also assist with essential nursery routines including cleaning, washing, and supporting children with personal care tasks like hand washing, dressing, and nappy changing. They will learn to conduct risk assessments, help plan and set up activities based on children's interests, and support them during mealtimes and sleep times. Recording accidents and administering medication under guidance will also be part of the role, alongside developing parent partnerships. There is a possibility of a keyperson role upon demonstrating progression and meeting expectations. The apprentice will adhere to all nursery policies and procedures.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4-9. Communication skills, IT skills, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Team working, Patience, Approachable, Enthusiasm, Positive Attitude, Kind nature, Punctual and Reliable.
