About the role

Pacifica Group is seeking an IT Security Apprentice to join their Head Office in the North East. This role involves working closely with the IT Security Team, assisting with IT support tickets and calls, and liaising with all company departments. The apprentice will investigate security alerts, follow procedures for issue remediation, support the rollout of new security tools, conduct audits, test new technologies, produce documentation, and assist the support team with ticket resolution and user troubleshooting. Strong attention to detail, a calm approach under pressure, flexibility, computer proficiency, and a genuine interest in IT and cyber security are essential. Entry requirements include an A-Level in ICT, International Baccalaureate Level 3 in ICT, a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject, or a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits), or equivalent qualifications and experience. The apprenticeship is 37.5 hours per week with benefits including discounts, a cash prize draw, and complimentary appliance cover. QA apprenticeships boast a 90% success rate for securing permanent employment post-completion.

Entry requirements

  • A-Level in ICT, or International Baccalaureate Level 3 in ICT, or Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject, or BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits). Equivalent qualifications and experience will also be considered.
