Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship

About the role

This apprenticeship offers a role as a Teaching Assistant within a secondary SEMH school for students aged 11-16 with an EHCP and SEN. The apprentice will support pupils in lessons, working 1:1 and with small groups under the direction of a teacher. Key duties include supporting individual learning needs, modelling social skills, resolving conflict, and developing thinking skills. The role also involves focusing on literacy and numeracy support, motivating pupils, contributing to a positive school ethos, providing pastoral support, and assisting with record management. The apprentice will also undertake supervisory duties during unstructured time and adhere to school policies, including safeguarding and health & safety. This is a valuable opportunity to gain experience in a specialized educational environment and contribute to the personal development of students.
