About the role
Join Howells of Tavistock as a Butchery Apprentice and learn the craft of preparing and cutting meat to customer and business specifications. You will assist with product preparation, packing, labelling, and display, while maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety. Key responsibilities include using butchery tools safely, monitoring stock, minimizing waste, serving customers professionally, and receiving deliveries. This apprenticeship offers the opportunity for long-term employment and progression within a family-run business established in 1962. You will work towards a Level 2 Butchery Apprenticeship standard and attend Duchy College Stoke Climsland weekly for training. Please consider your travel arrangements to the Tavistock location.
