About the role

Assist with fabrication activities, including preparing materials, marking out, cutting and basic forming, and assembling components prior to welding. Support welding activities by assisting with equipment setup, holding and positioning components, and observing MIG and TIG welding techniques. This apprenticeship offers a full-time position with the company and further opportunities for development. The company, Acres Engineering, is a leading supplier to global manufacturing companies with a design and manufacturing facility in Melbourne and a sales office in Spain. They have received the King's Award for Enterprise and an Armed Forces Gold Award. Previous L2 Fabrication or Welding experience is preferred. The role requires strong GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above), excellent communication, attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
