About the role
This apprenticeship offers a hands-on opportunity to become a Fire & Security Engineer. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical experience while undertaking a recognized apprenticeship program. The role involves site work, technical training, and classroom learning to equip you with the skills to install, maintain, commission, and fault-find Fire Alarm and Security Systems in commercial environments. You will learn about industry standards, health and safety, installation techniques, customer service, and gain technical knowledge. Responsibilities include assisting with the installation of fire alarm and security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms, Door Entry Systems), interpreting technical drawings, testing systems, identifying and rectifying faults, completing documentation, and maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism. You will also adhere to health and safety procedures and represent the company professionally on customer premises. Travel across the UK, including occasional overnight stays, will be required.

- GCSE English: 4 (Essential), GCSE Maths: 4 (Essential), Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Logical, Team working, Patience, Physical fitness, practical aptitude, Age 18+, Full UK Driving Licence, Reliable and enthusiastic attitude towards learning, Good communication and teamwork skills, Ability to work in a practical, hands-on environment, Strong attention to detail, Ability to work at height and in various working environments, Must be able to pass a DBS check, Willingness to travel and occasionally work away from home when required.
