About the role

As an Early Years Educator Apprentice, you will develop practical skills and knowledge in areas including supporting children's learning and development through play and everyday activities, planning and delivering engaging activities, supporting children's communication, language and physical development, and encouraging their confidence, independence and creativity. You will also build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues, support children's personal care and wellbeing, and follow safeguarding and child protection procedures. Understanding the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, and supporting children's individual needs are key aspects of this role. You will contribute to creating a safe, stimulating and welcoming learning environment and observing children's development. Previous childcare experience is desirable but not essential; a genuine interest in early years and a willingness to learn are paramount.
