About the role

As a Health & Social Care Apprentice, you will be trained to deliver high-quality, person-centred care tailored to individual needs. You will take an active role in creating and reviewing care plans, support new staff, and undergo training on rota systems. Responsibilities include administering medication (where trained and authorised), liaising with families and healthcare professionals, and recording health and well-being. You will support individuals with complex needs, uphold safeguarding responsibilities, and travel between clients' homes (mileage reimbursed). The role involves attending training and completing off-job learning for your Level 3 Apprenticeship in Adult Care, preparing for senior roles like Lead Care Worker or Supervisor. Candidates must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle, be punctual, and able to work independently. Applicants must be 18 or over and will require a full DBS check.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths & English: A*-C/9-4 (Desired). Strong communication, attention to detail, organisational, customer care, problem-solving, logical thinking, teamwork, initiative, non-judgemental, patience, compassion, and ability to work independently are essential.
