About the role
Volvo Truck & Bus is seeking motivated and hands-on individuals to join their team as Apprentice HGV Technicians for 2027. This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to kick-start a career in heavy vehicle engineering. You will be involved in assisting with repairs, fault diagnosis, learning warranty procedures, working with the parts team, and using specialized Volvo tools. The role also includes learning about modern trucks, buses, and coaches, including hybrid technology. Training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and block release at Inspiro's Heavy Vehicle Academy in Derby, with all accommodation, food, and travel costs covered by the employer. Upon completion, you will achieve a Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Level 3 qualification.
