About the role

An exciting opportunity for an apprentice dental nurse to join a friendly practice in Essex. The role involves providing chairside support and high-level oral health care to patients. You will receive ongoing support, development, and training to qualify for a successful career in dental nursing. Daily activities include assisting the dentist, providing patient care, setting up and cleaning the surgery, sterilizing instruments, updating patient records, maintaining equipment, and preparing instruments. The apprenticeship combines practical skills learned at the practice with theoretical learning from Aspiration Training, delivered online with regular teaching and 1-2-1 sessions. Off-the-job training is provided during paid working hours.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths grades 4-9, good communication, attention to detail, organisation skills, customer care skills, and team working abilities. A passion for the dental sector and willingness to work with blood are essential. Hepatitis B vaccination and an enhanced DBS check are required.
