About the role
Join Mending Lines as a Community Sport and Health Officer Apprentice. This role involves supporting young people within an Alternative Provision and delivering angling, outdoor wellbeing, and community activities. You will help plan and deliver sessions, encourage engagement, support participants with diverse needs, and promote activities. The apprenticeship is part-funded by Coach Core and aims to provide employment opportunities for 16-24-year-olds who have faced barriers to employment. No prior experience is needed, but enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential. The role is practical and outdoors, with occasional evening or weekend work required. You will work towards a Level 3 Community Sport and Health Officer qualification over 18 months, with potential for future employment with Mending Lines.
