Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprentice

About the role

Hockley Community Day Nursery is seeking enthusiastic Early Years apprentices and practitioners to join their team. This role involves supporting children's learning, development, care, and well-being while pursuing a rewarding career. Duties include working with experienced practitioners to facilitate play-based learning, plan and deliver activities, observe and record child development, assist with daily care routines, promote independence, maintain a safe and stimulating environment, and build positive relationships with children and families. Apprentices will undertake a Level 3 or Level 5 Early Years apprenticeship, combining workplace learning, practical experience, and off-the-job training. Successful completion may lead to future employment and career progression opportunities within the nursery, such as senior practitioner or room leadership roles.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, IT, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, administrative, number, analytical, logical, teamwork, creative, initiative, non-judgemental, and patience skills are essential.
