About the role

This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive training program to become a skilled Fire & Security Engineer. You will gain hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various systems including Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intruder Alarms, and Fire Alarms under the guidance of experienced professionals. The role is based in London and requires working alongside SENSETECH SYSTEMS LIMITED.

Key responsibilities will include learning to install and maintain essential fire and security systems. You will develop practical skills through a combination of on-site work and dedicated training. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, possess good communication and organizational skills, and are keen to build a career in the fire and security sector. The apprenticeship is delivered by SKILLS FOR SECURITY LIMITED, a specialist training provider, with training conducted through block release at their Dagenham/Watford centre.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Communication skills, attention to detail, organisation skills, customer care skills, team working. 18+ due to site restrictions. Drivers licence preferred (must be obtained by end of apprenticeship). Electrical Installation/site experience. Must be able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
