About the role
COOKS BLINDS & SHUTTERS LTD is seeking an Apprentice Fitter to join their team in Norwich. This apprenticeship offers hands-on training and development in mechanical fitting. Responsibilities include reading engineering drawings, measuring and marking materials, using tools safely, assembling components, fitting and adjusting mechanical parts, and supporting installations. The apprentice will also perform quality checks, maintain a clean work area, and work alongside experienced engineers to develop practical skills. Upon completion, there are opportunities to progress into Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, Installation Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or Senior Engineer roles.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English: C/4 or above, GCSE Maths: C/4 or above. Strong communication, IT, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills are essential.
