About the role
Join Lee Spring as an Apprentice Engineering Spring Maker and learn how precision springs are manufactured. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will develop practical engineering skills, operate production equipment under supervision and help produce springs to customer specifications. This role involves assisting with setting up and operating spring-making machinery, manufacturing springs to drawings and customer specifications, and handling materials safely. You will also perform basic checks, identify defects, support machine maintenance, and record production information. General responsibilities include following health and safety procedures, maintaining a clean work area, and communicating effectively. This apprenticeship offers potential progression into a skilled spring-making or wider engineering manufacturing role.
Entry requirements
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 5 or above. Communication skills, attention to detail, organisation skills, problem solving skills, logical thinking, team working, and initiative are essential.
