About the role

This three-year apprenticeship offers hands-on experience working on a diverse range of airport equipment, from cars and HGVs to large aircraft tractors. You will receive training to service, inspect, and maintain vehicles powered by electric, hybrid, and diesel engines. The role involves working alongside skilled technicians, performing maintenance and repairs, conducting safety inspections, and operating tools safely. Upon successful completion, apprentices will be well-positioned to apply for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician roles within Rushlift.

This position can be physically demanding and requires applicants to be 18 years or older due to airside access restrictions. A full UK Driving Licence is desirable, and a valid permit to work in the UK is essential, along with the ability to obtain an airside pass. The training will involve one day a week at Langley College for practical and theory sessions, leading to a Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician qualification.
