About the role

BBP is seeking a driven and committed individual to join their team as an apprentice Print Technician. This role involves working in a newly developed bespoke digital printing business unit, operating state-of-the-art UV LED direct-to-object inkjet printing machines. The apprentice will learn and understand a wide range of skills and processes under the instruction of senior staff, demonstrating these skills as training progresses. Key responsibilities include observing, learning, and understanding workplace health and safety, setting up printers for different print runs, proactive problem-solving with printer errors, and potentially developing skills in preparing, designing, and placing artwork using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. The role also involves learning equipment maintenance. The apprenticeship will lead to a full-time position upon successful completion.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 or above. Strong communication skills, IT skills, attention to detail, customer care, problem-solving, logical thinking, team working, creativity, and initiative are desired.
