About the role
We are seeking an Adult Care worker to provide high-quality care to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, behaviours that challenge and additional complex needs. The role involves ensuring high standards of professional care and practices, participating in decision-making and reviews for individuals, administering medication as prescribed, and undertaking Keyworker responsibilities. You will contribute to effective communication within the team and with those receiving care, maintain case recording systems, and participate in staff training. Additional duties include assisting in the overall running of the home, fostering community contacts, and other required tasks. Desirable requirements include relevant qualifications, knowledge of learning disabilities, autism, behaviours that challenge, residential care, Person Centred Planning, Health and Safety practices, and a full driving licence. Essential requirements include good communication skills, commitment to quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities/autism, knowledge of basic first aid and medication, understanding of Equal Opportunities Policy, and domestic skills.
