About the role
As a Playworker Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in schools alongside experienced staff, developing the skills needed to become a qualified Playworker. Your responsibilities will include assisting in delivering high-quality before-school, after-school, and holiday club sessions, supporting children's learning and development through play, and creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment. You will also help set up and pack away equipment, ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed, and complete 6 hours of off-the-job training weekly. A driving licence is essential due to travel between locations. Upon completion, you will achieve a Level 2 Playworker Apprenticeship Standard. Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve these qualifications before their End Point Assessment.
