About the role

Kisharon Noé School is seeking enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant Apprentices to support pupils aged 4-19 with special educational needs and disabilities. This apprenticeship offers a rewarding career in specialist education. As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will support pupils in lessons and daily activities, work with individuals and small groups, assist with communication, social interaction, independence, and life skills, and help children access a personalized curriculum. You will also prepare learning resources, maintain a stimulating learning environment, support pupils with communication, sensory, and behavioural needs, and contribute to progress records. Collaboration with teachers, therapists, and other professionals is key. You will build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families, and adhere to safeguarding and data protection policies. The apprenticeship includes participation in training and learning activities, with regular remote tutorials and reviews from a dedicated tutor. Upon successful completion, there may be opportunities for permanent roles and further career development within specialist education.

Entry requirements

  • GCSEs in English and Maths at grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent.
