This Operations Support Analyst Apprenticeship with Unum, based in Surrey, is an excellent opportunity for individuals starting their career in IT. The program is designed to equip apprentices with practical technical skills, customer service confidence, and a solid understanding of workplace IT services. While no prior IT experience is necessary, a strong foundation in Maths and English (GCSE grade 4 or above) is desired, along with excellent communication, attention to detail, organization, customer care, teamwork, and initiative skills.

Apprentices will learn to support colleagues with everyday IT technology needs, responding to IT incidents and service requests via Service Now, providing first-line assistance, and assisting with routine tasks such as laptop preparation and asset record updates. The role also involves supporting users with Microsoft 365 queries, observing and assisting with meeting room technology, and using remote support tools under guidance. A key aspect will be maintaining clear ticket notes and contributing to knowledge articles as their learning progresses. Apprentices will also support the team at Tech Bars and deskside support areas, ensuring adherence to company policies, information security, and data protection guidelines. The apprenticeship includes active participation in learning, coaching, team meetings, and development activities, fostering curiosity, reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude.
