About the role
Derbyshire County Council is seeking an Archives Assistant Apprentice - Level 3 to join their team. This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to work with historical records dating back 900 years, including maps, photographs, oral histories, and written documents. The apprentice will gain experience in assisting customers with historical research in the archive searchroom, handling telephone and email inquiries, and supporting archivists with cataloging historical records. Additionally, the role involves promoting the Record Office through social media, events, and exhibitions. This is an excellent chance to develop administrative, communication, IT, and customer care skills while contributing to the preservation of Derbyshire's history.
