About the role

This Level 3 Safeguarding Support Officer Apprenticeship with YOUNG GLOUCESTERSHIRE is designed for individuals aiming for a career in safeguarding. The program focuses on developing the essential knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed to identify and respond to safeguarding concerns, manage processes, maintain records, collaborate with partner agencies, and foster a positive safeguarding culture. Duties include acting as an initial point of contact for concerns, receiving and recording them, gathering relevant information, supporting triage and escalation, assisting with referrals, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to safeguarding meetings and reviews. The role emphasizes understanding safeguarding legislation and best practices, developing professional relationships, and engaging in reflective practice. Upon completion, apprentices will hold a Level 3 Safeguarding Support qualification.

Entry requirements

• GCSEs at Grade 4 in English and Maths are desired. A full UK Driving License is essential.
