About the role

This Level 3 Dental Nursing Apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to join a friendly dental practice in Stroud. The role involves providing chairside support and high-level oral health care to patients. You will receive ongoing support, development, and training to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to qualify and build a successful career in dental nursing. Daily activities include assisting dentists, providing patient care, setting up and cleaning surgeries, sterilising instruments, updating patient records, maintaining equipment, and adhering to practice policies. The apprenticeship combines practical, on-the-job training with theoretical learning from Aspiration Training, delivered online with regular teaching and one-to-one sessions. Off-the-job training is provided during paid working hours. A passion for the dental sector, resilience, and a willingness to undergo Hepatitis B vaccination and an enhanced DBS check are essential. Upon successful completion, you will be qualified to register with the General Dental Council (GDC). Career progression opportunities include roles such as dental hygienist, dental therapist, dental cosmetics, head nurse, team leader, or practice manager.
