About the role

Embark on a rewarding career as an Apprentice Dental Nurse at Oaksmere Dental Surgery. This 18-month, government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma course, provided by City & Guilds through Tempdent, will equip you with the skills to become a vital part of the dental team. You will gain hands-on experience assisting dentists chairside, sterilising and preparing equipment, managing reception duties, and crucially, supporting the patient experience. Key responsibilities include maintaining high standards of patient care, ensuring infection control, accurately updating patient records, and upholding patient privacy and confidentiality. This role offers clear progression routes, with opportunities to advance into Senior Dental Nurse, Lead Nurse, Treatment Coordinator, or Practice Manager roles, or to pursue further training to become a Dental Hygienist or Therapist. Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths at grade 4, GCSE English at grade 4. Additional desirable skills include administrative, analytical, customer care, IT, organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
