About the role

This Level 3 Safeguarding Support Officer Apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to develop specialist safeguarding knowledge and practical experience within a real working environment. The role involves acting as an initial point of contact for safeguarding concerns, receiving, recording, and responding appropriately to these concerns, and gathering relevant information. You will support the triage and prioritization of safeguarding concerns, and recognize when they need to be escalated. The position also involves supporting safeguarding referrals, information sharing with relevant agencies, and maintaining accurate, confidential safeguarding records. Additionally, you will assist in the management of safeguarding cases, support colleagues in understanding and following safeguarding policies, and contribute to safeguarding meetings and reviews. The apprenticeship includes structured training covering safeguarding legislation, guidance, multi-agency working, and preparation for end-point assessment.
