About the role
This Catering Apprentice role at Wigan & Leigh College offers hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, serving, customer service, till operation, stock management, and kitchen activities. Apprentices will work with experienced colleagues to develop skills and understand professional catering standards. Duties include preparing and serving food, supporting service across various college events, operating the till, assisting with stock, maintaining hygiene records, cleaning, and adhering to health and safety procedures. The apprenticeship includes learning to use catering equipment safely and completing required learning and development.
