This Electronics Engineering Apprenticeship at Thales is a hands-on entry route into engineering, where you will learn electronics design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting while working alongside qualified engineers on real programmes. The role centres on building and validating electronic solutions. You will support electronics design and development, assist with circuit design, component selection, and schematic/layout reviews. You will also build and integrate hardware, from breadboards to production-relevant hardware, and test and verify equipment using industry-standard tools. Troubleshooting and problem-solving are key aspects, as is documenting engineering work through reports and maintaining records. You will work in a safety and quality-focused environment, adhering to Thales's procedures and standards.

Entry requirements

  • GCSEs: English and Maths (grade 4-9). A-Levels: Maths and a Science subject (grade B), or 3 A-Levels at ABB.
