About the role
This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive pathway to becoming a skilled Industrial Process Engineer. You will gain hands-on experience in optimizing manufacturing processes, developing technical knowledge, and contributing to technological innovation. The role involves defining and improving manufacturing documentation, performing readiness reviews, and ensuring the feasibility and reproducibility of processes. Key learning areas include understanding professional engineering behaviors, assessing Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL), defining and optimizing manufacturing processes and tooling, contributing to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives, and managing failures and changes through Material Review Boards and Configuration Control Boards. The program leads to a BEng in Engineering and a Level 6 Manufacturing Engineer Apprenticeship, culminating in an Industrial Process Engineer position within the Underwater Systems business.
