About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to become an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner. You will gain valuable experience in providing high-quality care, learning, and development for young children, ensuring their safety, happiness, and stimulation. The role involves adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS) and carrying out essential domestic duties. Key responsibilities include nurturing children through social, emotional, educational, and practical interactions, following nursery policies and legal requirements, and ensuring child protection procedures are in place. You will implement the key worker system, observe and assess children's learning, maintain records, and partner with parents/carers. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe environment, planning and supervising activities, and ensuring children's nutritional and hygiene needs are met. You will contribute to the overall quality of the nursery service, work with external professionals, and participate in meetings and training. A commitment to health and safety, equality, and respect for all is essential. Upon completion, there is potential to progress into a Nursery Practitioner role.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 9-4 (A*-C) required. Essential skills include communication, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, teamwork, patience, and physical fitness. Must pass a DBS check and provide references.
