About the role

This is a new and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic candidate to enter the field of clinical research as an Apprentice Research Administrator at the University of Oxford's Division of Cardiovascular Medicine AMIIC. Over a 2-year tenure, the successful apprentice will gain comprehensive training in various aspects of research administration. This primarily office-based role offers the chance to become involved in research delivery, such as sample preparation and management, and to observe participant visits. The role requires strong collaboration skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach. The apprentice will also be supported to obtain an honorary contract with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, enabling access to patient records and data, with a strict adherence to patient confidentiality and GDPR compliance. Duties include responding to enquiries, managing supplies, performing general office duties, data entry, administrative support for project management, coordinating participant appointments, assisting with travel and expense claims, liaising with other departments, and supporting patient and public involvement initiatives.
