About the role
Alvaston Infant and Nursery School is seeking a passionate Apprentice Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This role involves working closely with the Headteacher, inclusion team, and SENDCOs to foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where all children can thrive. Responsibilities include supporting individual and group learning, assisting with lesson preparation, building positive relationships with children, monitoring progress, and supporting personal care needs. The apprentice will also follow school policies, collaborate with parents and professionals, and participate in professional development activities. Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above. Essential soft skills include communication, attention to detail, organisation, presentation, teamwork, creativity, initiative, being non-judgemental, and patience.
