About the role

Embark on a rewarding career as an Apprentice Dental Nurse at Chopra & Associates in Canterbury. This 18-month, government-funded Level 3 Extended Diploma course, accredited by City & Guilds, will equip you with the skills to become a vital part of a dental team. You will gain hands-on experience in chairside assistance to clinicians, ensuring high standards of patient care, confidentiality, and GDPR compliance.

Your daily duties will include welcoming patients, managing appointments, handling enquiries, preparing surgeries, sterilising instruments, and maintaining infection control to CQC standards. You'll assist clinicians during treatments, accurately update patient records, and ensure patient comfort and reassurance. Furthermore, you will be responsible for monitoring stock, maintaining clean and safe clinical areas, and upholding patient privacy.

The training provider, Tempdent, offers a flexible online delivery model with quarterly start dates, induction, and regular progress support. Upon completion, you'll have the opportunity to progress into roles such as Senior Dental Nurse, Lead Nurse, Treatment Coordinator, or Practice Manager. Further training can lead to specialisations like Dental Hygienist, Dental Therapist, or Orthodontic Therapist.
