About the role

This apprenticeship offers a supportive pathway into the accounting field, ideal for candidates with good numeracy skills whose first language is not English. You will gain hands-on experience while studying for your qualification. Key duties include managing trial balances, handling invoices, and setting up and updating cash flow reports. You will also be involved in agreed monthly reports, payroll year-end processing and reconciliation, printing payslips, and updating and reconciling nominal ledger activities and transactions, as well as dealing with bank postings. Upon completion, you will earn an AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate and an NVQ Level 2. Apprentices without Level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this level and take the test for Level 2 prior to their end-point assessment. This role provides an excellent opportunity for career progression within accounting.
