Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) Apprentice

About the role

This 12-month Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) programme, fully funded by the Department for Education, is designed for graduates of any subject. Upon completion, trainees will achieve Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), qualifying them as early years teachers. The role involves supporting children's learning and development, planning and delivering engaging activities, observing and assessing progress, building positive relationships with children and families, promoting inclusive practice, ensuring safeguarding, and reflecting on professional development. The programme offers hands-on experience in nursery and school environments, a clear pathway into Early Years teaching, and no course tuition fees.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English, Maths, and Science at grade 4 or above, and a Bachelor's Degree in any subject with a 2:1 classification. Strong communication, attention to detail, organisational, customer care, problem-solving, number, and teamwork skills are essential, along with creativity, initiative, and patience.
