About the role
Join Transport for London (TfL) as a London Underground Fleet Apprentice and play a vital role in maintaining and upgrading the operational efficiency and safety of the iconic London Underground fleet. This 3-year apprenticeship offers a comprehensive blend of classroom learning and on-the-job training, allowing you to work alongside skilled engineers and gain proficiency in both mechanical and electrical skills. You'll be responsible for ensuring the continuous performance and safety of TfL's rolling stock, contributing to the smooth running of London's transportation system. Upon successful completion, you could progress into roles such as Train Maintainer, Advanced Train Maintainer, or Team Leader, with potential pathways to Chartership status in engineering.
Entry requirements
- Minimum of 2 GCSEs A*-C/grade 4 or above (including Maths and English Language). Must be 18 by 8th September 2025.
