About the role
Apprenticeship Standard: Installation Electrician and Maintenance Electrician. London Underground plays an essential role in our city's development, covering 253 miles and serving 275 stations. As an engineering apprentice, you'll be critical to the ongoing performance and safety of the Tube network. You will be at the forefront of technological advancements in trains and operating infrastructure, adapting maintenance strategies for peak performance, while also overseeing legacy assets. This apprenticeship is the beginning of an exciting career, with opportunities to progress to higher-level apprenticeships, qualify as an electrician within Systems & Infrastructure, or even reach senior management positions, as many directors at TfL started as apprentices.
Entry requirements
- A minimum of 2 GCSE's Grade A* - C or Grade 4 and above, including Maths and English Language (or equivalents). You must be 18 years of age by 7th September 2026.
