About the role
This apprenticeship focuses on the critical role of maintaining the London Underground track, the backbone of the city's transport system. As a Track Apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience in essential track maintenance and fault repair, working alongside skilled engineers. You'll be involved in regular placements across the network, contributing to the ongoing performance and safety of over 402km of track. The role requires working as part of a team, adhering to strict safety controls, and learning to maintain both legacy and technologically advanced assets. Upon completion, successful apprentices can progress into roles such as Skilled Track Operative, Track Inspector, or Site Person in Charge.
